Forgive me, but I rarely venture from Steel WO Pedals section. I can't play armpit guitar and can't play lapsteel very well either, but that hasn't stopped me from trying. I do like to build though and I just now stumbled across this section. When was this section added to the forum??? I like it! Thanks for adding it...........worthy addition.

It's been here for about 4 months, since Feb 11, 2022.

Thanks so much for adding this section Bob. Also thanks JD for moderating it. I love to build, but since Covid came along I have been idle on the builds. Jack Hanson rescued a 1956 Gibson Century Deluxe and I intend to build one. It won't have all the original stuff, but I am going for the overall look that Jack came up with. I love his choice of color and hope he doesn't mind another one looking similar to his? (Imitation is the best form of Flattery) Jack's is below and I hope mine looks as nice as the job he did on his.

Bill,

That is a neat looking lap steel. If you don't mind, what is the third knob for? Volume and Tone is likely two knobs but I can't figure what the third is used for.
