I’m sure this has been covered a lot, so apologies in advance.
Which pedal steels have the widest string spacing? Is it the old Shobuds?
I’m sure some “flare” out more from nut to changer as well…
Appreciate any info or thoughts on this.
Thanks!

I haven't played them all but so far I think my old Fender 800 s-10 has the widest spacing I've come across. It's very comfortable to play. That's comparing to ShoBuds, Zbs, Kline, Emmons, BMI, Emmons and MSA....but I never really measured any of those except the Kline, which probably had the tightest spacing of any guitar I've played. _________________ Dave Zirbel-

From my experience the tightest spacing that I've had was on a Dekley string. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5...
