That is a really nice looking Emmons. I like the Rosewood mica.
I know most people love the Black, but I always preferred wood grain.
Good luck on the sale at a good price.
Andy

Hi Mike,
Beautiful specimen there. Who did the restoration? And, do you know the ohms of pick ups? Your guitar is an excellent example of an original. Hope to hear from you.

Thanks for the kind words Andy, Tommy, and Johnie.

I did the work on the guitar myself. The original fretboard were white lined boards and not so pristine. I replaced them with the chrome lined ones thanks to Jerry Roller's son Terry who sold them to me awhile back after Jerry had passed on.

The E9th pickup reads 17.99K :

The C6th pickup reads 17.84K :

Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for honest answers! It’s a beautiful example of Buddy’s design.
I hope someone buys this at your fair and discounted price for what this guitar represents. Wish I could have !

Sure thing Tommy! Thanks for the nice endorsement on this classic Emmons.

We enjoy listening to your playing on Saturday nights on WSM. I especially enjoy when you get to stretch out a bit on the steel while Jeannie Sealy and Bill Anderson perform their portion of the show. Thanks for all the great music!

Thank you so much Mike. I’m a very blessed and fortunate fella.
You’re Emmons steel is worth every penny and will only go up in value. I envy the new owner.

That rosewood 'mica fatback D-10 with wide pedals is almost a dead-ringer for my 1973 #1714 D:

Great guitars.

It’s not lost on me that the steel convention passed away years ago. But I wind up in St Louis on Labor Day. And I see these two guitars -the 73 push pull and a 94 Mullen. So I get not one but two steels in Labor Day in St. Louis. It’s deja vu all over again. Only this time I gots no wife to give me any trouble about it. Ha ha ha. Ugh.
