Does anyone know who built the Emmons Legrand 600 amplifier. Have one that needs to be repaired.

Thue "B.K. Butler" and the printing on the faceplate suggests Tubeworks (B.K. Butler).

Can't say where you would find a schematic (if one even exists).

Wish I could find someone to at least look at it. Preamp sections works great. Moffitt power amp section may be the issue, I have new transistors for it.

B.K. Butler also made the MosValve 500 power amps. Output design is probably similar.

Bk Butler was bought by Genz Benz
They discontinued all of
Tube works and Bk Butler....
And have no schematics on
Older products...
I contacted them on a pre amp I
have. And all info is gone....

I was looking for info on a couple RT2100 MV/TubeWorks amps I own. Genz Benz basically shunned the BK Butler line a few short years after acquiring them and have nothing to offer, if they're even still operating.

I don't know how similar they are to the MosValve/Legrande amp you own, but the output sections may be similar here in these links.

....also a couple schems in this thread: https://music-electronics-forum.com/forum/schematic-requests/35455-mosvalve-rt-2100-schematic-request

A man named Andy works as a designer and tech for Mesa Engineering and Genzler (used to be Genz Benz, leads back to MOSVALVE) who likely knows these things.

Goes by the moniker AgedHorse on Talkbass.com. Might be worth track8ng him down

I would ask Jack Strayhorn who is a member of the forum here and he worked at Emmons as Comptroller "if you will" and builder of Emmons guitars for many years. I'm sure he would know!
