1947 National New Yorker $475 plus shipping

Plexiglass handrest/pickup cover (Valco produced the WWII Bomber nosecones of Plexiglass)
3-way "Hawaiian-Chimes-Harp" tone selector, 1 master volume control

The back and sides are very rough as can be seen by the pictures. The guitar is also missing the National headstock badge.

The top, fretboard and electronics are good. Sounds great, volume works, tone switch works. Curly cord with original Amphenol connector.

I paid $475 10 years ago. It needs restoration of the back and sides to be in great shape and a headstock badge. I just ended up using it as it is. Always loved the design and sounds good.

In good shape they are now selling for $900 to $1,250. I do not have time to restore it and have other guitars that need my help. I would like to sell it for the $475 plus shipping that I paid.

It is very playable now but would need sanding, some wood repair and paint too bring it up to great condition. For someone with good finishing skills, no big deal. Take a careful look at all the pictures to see if you have what it takes or just want to play it as it is as I did.

It really is is such a great art deco design.

Hi Tony,

You know, that was a good question.
I had assumed it was 22.5 BUT I just measured it and it is actually a 23 inch scale length.
