I've searched this with no answers. I have 2 George L pickups, one has gold lettering, and one has silver lettering. Anybody know about any differences or why they're like this?
Thx in advance,
Pat

Put a meter on each and see what the impedence is on each pickup. If they are the same or very close then the difference might just be the ink used.

Thx Bill,
Thx for your reply! Yeah that's what I thought. They both read about the same so I was figuring maybe one was an earlier one, but thought I'd ask in case there was something else I was missing. (Like maybe the silver one was one of Buddy's prototypes!) Laughing
Thx, Pat

Some gold inks or dyes will turn silver when exposed to intense UV rays. (I've had that happen with holiday decorations that were exposed to strong sunlight.)
