The cover for "Buddy Emmons: Steel Guitar Icon" went public recently, prior to its release on September 6th. The cover features a beautiful photo taken in the studio -- during the "Rainbow album" sessions in the mid-70's -- by legendary photographer JD Sloan. The book is being published by the University of Illinois Press and can be pre-ordered at their website and at Amazon.

Thanks to all of you who have written in support of the project. I can't wait to have a copy in my hands!

Cool like Lemon Pie Baby! Emmons was a Giant of The Men of Steel Guitar. I really miss him and his Musical Genius! Looking forward to the book. RIP Big E!

Great Steve!
When it's time to order, I'm going to see if it's possible to order it through a local bookstore that I like a lot. But I'll get it however it is available.
