I have a Wallace Trutone pickup I bought several years ago and I have never used it. What are the tonal differences between the Trutone and an E66?

Your personal tone signature between those two pickups will change depending on the guitar brand, model, effects used, and finally, your skill level. It’s not an easy cut and dried question to answer. However, a player really needs to decide if he needs a humbucker or single coil pickup,,, then decide what brand and model pickup. A single coil usually sounds awesome until you set up in a room with crappy house/stage wiring, then you need a good humbucker pickup. Good luck.
