I ordered a Mullen Royal Precision SD10 about 6 wks ago and I ordered it with the stock pickup. I was wondering if there were any suggestions or advantages to paying the extra for a Bill Lawrence that is offered or another pickup? I'm fine with stock, I just don't have enough experience with other pickups to know the difference. I'm sure personal preference is a big part of it. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

I had a Mullen SD12 with the stock pickup. A couple places the band I was in played, buzzed like crazy. No adjustments to location helped, and the guitar player's Tele and bass player's Fender Bass also Buzzed. I put a BL XR16 in, wired in the switch to change it from a humbucker to single coil. So, I could have a nice single coil sound, or if the buzz was bad, I could use the humbucker mode. Best of both worlds. I also put on on the E9th neck of my Carter.
