As much as I'd dearly love to book some time with Buck Reid so he can make some changes on my Emmons, my dialysis schedule (Mon, Wed, Fri) rules out driving from here to Nashville (850 miles each way).
I really want the 9/6 lower on E9 so I may be forced to tackle it myself. ("That's easy!!!", I can hear you all saying. )
It's going on my pedal 4 (adjacent to my A pedal) and my question is:
Where do you think I should be hooking the rods to the bell-cranks? Both lowers are just a half-step. My guitar is a LeGrand 111 with (mostly) 14-hole bell-cranks. Should they be attached neared the cross-rod or farther away?
LG111s have triple-raise and double-lowers. Currently, I have no 'lowers' on string 6, but the 9th has the top slot occupied by RKR lowering 2 and 9.
(The new change: lowering the 6th from G# to G: lowering the 9th from D to C#.) _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

My pal Dale Rottacker has just pointed out the obvious...
If the 6th-lower that's already on my P4 (it currently lowers 5 and 6 a whole step) will satisfactorily retune to the half-step, then the job is half done already.
It was a senior moment....

I have something similar with my RKR. I Raise 7 F# to G and lower 9 D to C# (along with 2nd string lowers). |
