From the 1990 International Steel Guitar Convention USA
Here is a RARE video that I made of the later Bobby Koeffer and the Texas Playboys.
This is truly western swing at its best.
I wish I could name all the players, but I simply cannot remember.
Sit back and enjoy

Great - w/ Eldon Shamplin on guitar. What a great, and highly influential steel player.
I've only watched this clip about million times:

re: Eldon Shamplin "Rolling Stone Magazine's #1 Rhythm Guitar Player." Eldon could also bring it on with single-note playing. Charlie Christian heard him on the radio in Oklahoma. I refer you to the Tiffany Tapes w/ on the band, at times: Junior Barnard, Noel Boggs, Herb Remmington, Leon McAullie, Jody Holley, Tiny Moore plus Bob & Tommy There's not enough money to hire a band like that today. |
