Topic: 10 string lap steel -George L pickup, Flame Maple Body $499 |

The builder is a fellow Forumite who tells me it is a George L 10-1 pickup. A local dealer told me the body is Flame Maple and the head is off a Sho-Bud. Another Forumite suggested Rains ancestry.
All I know is that it is a nice 10 string lap steel that sounds great.

| It is possible that the head originally screwed in from underneath but then this builder bored thru in order to simplify this top-mounting. This could lead to identification confusion (I'd spent some time trying to find a picture of a headstock with these visible screw heads before it occurred to me that this might be the case). |

It almost looks like a Mullen head except for the screws and maybe they were added later as Jon stated.
Mullen has the split head on their guitars.
