Does anybody know what happened to Chuck Back / Desert Rose Steel Guitars? His website seems to be gone and he does not respond to voicemails or emails. He overhauled my guitar back before Covid but I haven't heard from him since. Thanks!

Saw him at the Dallas show and talked to him. He didn’t mention anything about shutting anything down.

Don

I saw and played with him in mid January and he said he had a bunch of orders he was working on.

Chuck was onstage all weekend at the TSGA just a little over a week ago.

I don't know about his web site, but he is still building steels.

Chuck lost his wife a little over a year ago to Covid, so that for sure stopped him for a while. May be why his web site is down.

Texans are trying to get Chuck to move back to Texas where he can play the music he loves.

And for what it is worth, Chuck had the best set of anyone at the TSGA. Fresh music and his vocals were wonderful.
Great player and great friend.

I finally reached Chuck on the phone and we had a nice chat. He's doing well and his website is down because he's building a new one.
