No, not Merle Haggard in a bar, but a traditional Irish jig. There are lots of performances on multiple instruments on YouTube but not on electric steel.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Irish music is so beautiful and emotional.

"Hag" was a great choice for a jig. How can anyone listen to an Irish jig and not tap their feet?

Great job.

Are you sure your last name isn't O'Volk?

HA! Glad you like it, Lee.

Some recordings of this tune with different textures from different instruments ...

And my favorite, the pipes .... and perhaps the instrument that an electric steel is closest to in this group ....

The melody to some of the Irish jigs can be so very complex.

It amazes me how a group of people, playing various instruments in an ensemble, can be right on the money playing the melody in unison with each other.
