"Blue Wind" is one of my all-time favorite lap steel instrumentals. I love the tropical-meets-blues vibe it has. Here's a terrific version recently posted by Gerard Eagan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa8xfP4RgpY

And here's the original Jimmy Day recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JmJGUexe7A

Here's a performance by Blue Steel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICf25TmUpGs

I first heard the tune played by Buddy Emmons on this great compilation CD: https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Steel-Guitar-Emmons-Collection/dp/B000002ZB9/ref=sr_1_1?crid=37JIXKXZIM0U&keywords=buddy+emmons+amazing&qid=1646577499&sprefix=buddy+emmons+amazing%2Caps%2C43&sr=8-1.

My arrangement of Blue Wind, that was based on Buddy's version: https://www.volkmediabooks.com/single-arrangments/blue-wind-b11th-tuning

I like your arrangement of Blue Wind, Andy. I need to show this to my bass player, though

Andy, I love playing your rendition from the B11th book.
I particularly like the outro i vi ii V vamp, it is gorgeous and just fits right under the bar in the tuning with no slants. Nevertheless, I doubt that I would have ever come up with it my self!
One of the coolest thing about straight steel is those gems like that hiding in plain sight...

Thank so much for posting that, Joe. I really appreciate your feedback. There's a ton of cool stuff to discover in B11th.
