That's fascinating, not just technically and musically but for how much the world has changed in only 55 years. Feels like 155!

Such amazing skill involved. Those guys running the huge shapers don't look worried at all. I watched a slideshow of Collings guitar factory, and it doesn't look like the technology has changed too much. Still lots of hand tools involved. The styles have certainly changed, I can't say for the better. Crazy to see those guys spraying lacquer with no protective gear at all. YIKES! |

My daughter forwarded the same site to me this morning. I live about 40 miles from the old Gibson factory in Kalamazoo. Heritage Guitar now occupys the site.
