That's fascinating, not just technically and musically but for how much the world has changed in only 55 years. Feels like 155!

| Such amazing skill involved. Those guys running the huge shapers don't look worried at all. I watched a slideshow of Collings guitar factory, and it doesn't look like the technology has changed too much. Still lots of hand tools involved. The styles have certainly changed, I can't say for the better. Crazy to see those guys spraying lacquer with no protective gear at all. YIKES! |

My daughter forwarded the same site to me this morning. I live about 40 miles from the old Gibson factory in Kalamazoo. Heritage Guitar now occupys the site.
