I've always used an analog delay, straight from my steel and before the volume pedal. Now, I want to start using a digital reverb pedal. (True spring reverb from Source Audio)
My question is, Should I put the reverb BEFORE the delay or AFTER the delay? Thanks, Tommy..... |

Delay before Reverb. Reverb, generally, is the last effect in the chain for the normal way that most steel players use the effect. At the tail end, it just adds the reverb to all the effects in front of it. |

Because reverb only sounds right when its tail naturally decays, like the way sound does in a reverberant space. If we put it before the volume pedal, then the reverb tail goes for that wild ride of the volume pedal up and down which sounds very weird and wrong and unnatural.

So if I read this correct, Guitar/Delay/VP/Reverb
is that correct? |

No..guitar-volume pedal- delay and reverb last
But then again.. there are really no rules if it sounds good to you, but there are technical reason as stated above why reverb goes last.. _________________ Old Emmons D-10's & Wrap Resound 65, Standel amps!
