Hello everyone,
I recently bought a used Nashville 400 (mid 90's I believe with a 1501 speaker.) and it just sound a lot better than the other peavey amps I've played (2 Nash 400, and a Vegas 400)
So I thought maybe it was modded at some point and the seller forgot to tell me or didn't know. Is there an easy way to tell by looking at the board? I guess I should post some pictures for you all. ( will do that soon )
Also, what do the Ken Fox mods do? is it just a tone adjustment?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Check your serial number.

Note; all Nashville 400 amplifiers that have above serial number 08575482 already came with the mod kit installed from the factory. Also, the Nashville 112, Session 2000, Nashville 1000, the new Session 115 have the mod kits incorporated into their circuits.

Besides, there were also Peavey kits available for older amps. I don't remember the part nos., but I think some of the IC chips numbers could tell you. Check with Jack Stoner for the particulars on these older chip replacements.
Have no experience with Ken's mods. |

Foster, there are two different Ken Fox mods. The popular option is a swap out of the ICs tgat plug in to the main board, which Ken sold for $35. Then there's the " Intense Mod" where Ken replaced the chips, capacitors etc at his shop. The intense mod alters the sound completely. Pull the chassis and id the chips. |
