Here is a picture of two that live in Canada , respectively, Ontario and Quebec provinces
 .
The D10 belongs to Kingston Ontario's s Andy Schick . It's an 8/5. Serial # 14 dated approx 1978. The single neck is a 4/5 and it's serial # is 66 making it an 1983. Both great playing and sounding guitars. It's home is in Chelsea Quebec.
Just wondering where they all are? I know one other resides in Chatham Ontario in Rene Brousseau's home...

Brian, there was a previous thread on the forum about showing Franklin's.
You know what mine looks like  (S/N 65 delivered late Dec 81). |

Ok Jack.I didn't realize. We (Andy and myself ) got some pictures of our guitars as Paul Sr. Said he likes to have pictures of his guitars with current owners. I had a chance to play the same venue as Andy this summer and one pf the bandmembers wives is pretty handy with a camera.
I thought we would share them on the forum .
Let's consider the topic closed .

We'll take it however we can get it.
When I was the club President, I sold club T-shirts to a guy in New York City, a guy in Germany and to people that have taken them back North. I've had reports of seeing FSGC shirts and hats in various localities other than Florida.
Interesting that your S/N 66 was made in "83" when my S/N 65 was made in late 81. There's an inconsistency there somewhere as there were steels built and sold in 1982. I don't think he serialized D-10's and S-10's separately. However, I thought my Franklin was made in late 82 but Paul showed me the book he keeps with all the information, including date and who it was sold to, and it is logged as December 81. The sales receipt that I have has faded out so I can't tell from that. |

I thought the same Jack. I was assured by the seller and by Paul Sr. that mine was an 83". I have to talk to him in the near future so I'll double check.
Might he have two serial number setups? 1 for D10 and 1 for single necks?

Brian, after going back over the other Franklin threads and serial numbers, I think mine is actually an 82 as I suspected (ordered in Oct and delivered in late Dec). I know Paul's log book says 81, but based on others and their serial number it confirms it was 1982.
One that was listed was S/N 62 and it was September 82.
Mine is a "split tail" neck design. He went to a pseudo wraparound neck later.

Maybe Paul started building it in 1981, and finished it in 1982 ???

| that's interesting to me about the earlier split-tail neck. my '82 zum is a split-tail also.it sounds fantastic. does anyone know why paul and bruce would decide later to change to the wrap around style neck? |

Marco, I stated it was ordered in Oct and delivered in late December, of the same year.
On the Franklin its just a shell (cover) over the "bracket" at the back of the changer. Why that was done ???? I don't think it does anything to the sound. |
