I may have posted this before. I have long term memory but at times cant remember what i did ten mimutes ago. Back in the 40s there was a radio program whos sponser was blue ribbon beer. It was done with what later was known as the talking steel guitar which most did not know what it was at the time. I am not getting this second hand as i remember it well and wondered how it as done. A so called talking steel guitar said Blue Ribbon Beer in the commercial. I have an idea who did it but not sure. That was long before buddy or pete got credit for it. Just thought i would throw this in. Now can throw it back out.lol

That was Alvino Rey and Stringy. Movies and variety TV shows they were on didn’t show him using a voice box (overdubbed?), but the sound is just like Pete.
