Pedal Steel repair in Nova Scotia?

First post here, let me know if this is belongs in another category.

I'm looking for someone who can do some maintenance/repair work. Or someone who knows someone? Or even just an experienced player who knows their way around the mechanics of the instrument better than me to have a look. I'm near Halifax. It's a Dekley s-10 that I bought recently and it needs a few things tuned up. Also it has a 4th pedal that seems like it wasn't installed very well. It appears to lower the 5th and 6th strings a semi tone... kind of... and with great difficulty when attempted.
