Looking for a gumby (early style) keyhead with the solid nut, no rollers. Maverick maybe?? What you got?
EDIT: Will also consider one that takes a roller nut, but rollers (and tuners) are not needed.

I don't know what you mean by "Early style Gumby" keyhead, as there were at least three different Sho-Bud solid nut keyheads in the 1950s alone. It would help if you specified a year or provided a photo.
If you don't really need an early Sho-Bud keyhead, look for a removed Maverick keyhead. I have picked up a number of those over the years when guys are upgrading their Mavericks with "improved" roller nut keyheads off of a Crossover or Pro or Pro II that was made into a loafer. Solid nut Maverick Gumbys are likely the least expensive way to go.
If you do not care if the keyheads are Sho-Bud, try Miller, Lynch and Walters as they also made Gumby keyheads. _________________ Chris Lucker

Thanks Chris, good advice. A picture is worth a thousand words. So I added one. |

The solid nut keyheads were notorious for breaking strings.
If that's what you want.

Thanks, Erv. I'm looking to build a D-10 nonpedal console. Shouldn't have to worry about string breakage there I think. |

If you have a gumby keyhead that takes a roller nut, I will also consider that ... but rollers (and tuners) are not needed. |
