Hello, I recently made an online purchase of the Seymour Duncan 11034-45 Antiquity for 1950 Fender pickup. I was planning on installing it in my Rondo SX lap steel. However, due to Covid-related shipping delays there is now no firm delivery date and I am about the cancel the order.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a comparable pick-up to the Seymour Duncan Antiquity.
Thanks for your time.

Any kind of vintage wind, Alnico, flat pole Telecaster pickup should do. Look at GFS pickups or even Fender might make one, a Broadcaster or something. They went to staggered poles in '54 i think. |

I was going to recommend local Ontario winder the Pickup Wizard but a quick look at the website says they are suspending operations for now. You can still email Peter a question though. See if he can make one of his broadcaster pickups on the sort of base you need for your installation?
Worth a shot. His stuff is highly regarded. |

I had another look at the guitar body and it looks like its routed for a Strat style pickup, there are some good choices there that wont require routing, Duncan makes a Twangbanger, its a Alnico Strat pickup with the plate on the bottom like a Tele and it sounds great, also the Lil'59 mini bucker is a drop in, i have these in two lap steels and love them. |

Just to be clear, you will need to rout your SX body to use that Champion pickup. |
