I’ve been setting up my home studio using GarageBand as my DAW with my iMac but have run into a situation when patching in my steel directly to get it recording on GB. The manual asks you to to use the audio input when starting a new track but it always inserts a amp simulation that sounds crappy and seems impossible to eliminate. I’ve found out that if you use the mic preset when starting a new track, there won’t be an amp sim attached to it. Great workaround.
