Skip Jackson of Hendersonville Tennessee passed yesterday (June 26th). Skip played for Faron Young, The Kendals, and others. He was a fine player, though pretty much retired from music for several decades. Arrangements are pending.

I'm sorry to read of Skip's passing. He was a great guy and player. We did many package shows with The Kendalls back in the late 70s - early 80s and I always looked forward to visiting with and listening to Skip playing his Blanton.

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out for Skip, his family and friends.

Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson

In Tulsa several years ago while with Faron Young's Band, Skip came out to a club I was working in and jammed several hours with us before heading on to their next show. He would show you anything at the drop of a hat, a real gentlemen for sure.

Worked with Skip in the Kendalls Moving Train Band
in the 80s
Sweet and funny guy, got me started on psg.
A real musical artist who could play the stock licks but always added his own special spice. Great guy to be on the road with.
