Has anyone ever used one of these with a pedal steel? Supposed to be a booster with a built in buffer. Marty Stuart runs one all the time apparently for his Tele through deluxe reverb.

I haven't used that pedal but I have 2 other Radial devices that contain the buffer and the drag control. They're high quality devices and work great.

In my experience, the drag control or some other type of impedance matcher (e.g. FreeLoader, BlackBox, ...) is essential if you're using pedal steel into an amp designed for 6 string guitar. If you're using pedal steel into a pedal steel amp, you would turn the drag control all the way up which basically takes it out of the circuit.
