Christmas brought me a Peterson StroboStomp HD. Pretty cool gizmo - I like it so far.
I want to 'Hide' all of the Presets except the steel guitar sweeteners. Peterson instruction guide says to hide ALL presets and then 'make visible' only the few that I want.
The instruction's note to hide all of the presets has me holding the DOWN MENU toggle along with the DOWN VALUE toggle. Nothing changes.
Clearly, I'm not getting it.
Can anyone guide me through the process?
Thanks! |

I've always used the web interface at https://www.petersontuners.com/
to program the SS HD (been awhile so i can't remember if you have to register it for warranty purposes before programming it. Also, mine only had SE9 and SP9 and EQ temperament presets for awhile)

Thanks Gene...
I waded through the Peterson setup via their website. For me, the process was not as intuitive as I expected.
I learned that simply Registering the product for Warranty / Date of Purchase stuff doesn't count for Registering the product for Peterson Connect - where the tuner is linked to my Warranty Registration and then linked to the Connect software.
Once I got into the Connect software I was able to create a files of 'Sweeteners' using just the Sweeteners I wanted to show up on the tuner when plugged to my steel.
That part of the process now works fine.
This is a cool tuner. I love the big full screen tuning graphics. |

The downloaded personalized settings I selected on Peterson Connect did not take.
I disconnected the USB port from my computer and shut down the tuner by pulling the instrument cable.
Reconnecting the tuner to my steel, all of the 'SAVED' settings were gone.
I like this tuner interface. The graphics are large and easily readable with the tuner on the floor. I'm frustrated that personalizing it for my preferences is so complex.
FWIW... the Peterson site would not work using Google Chrome. I ended up having to use a MicroSoft engine to get the site to recognize my tuner. |

Glad it worked out. You can contact them, they're active on this forum when people have questions and their Tech support is excellent (as good as any company I can remember)

I have an older Peterson that I bought from a friend. I couldn’t get any of the connections to work with their website. There are a few sweetened steel tunings in there already but I admit I don’t understand really how to use them. I tune in a very simple way with flatted thirds and a few other tweaks. Maybe I don’t play “in tune” but haven’t had a lot of complaints. _________________ KEVIN MAUL: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Donner, Evans, Excel, Fender, Fluger, GFI, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |
