I was in my local store today and found two Peavy's on consignment.
First is a Bandit 112. "90s version, 200W, 'Scorpion equipped'"
Second is a Session 400, 1x15 combo
Here are some pics.
These are not mine. And THIS IS NOT AN OFFER FOR A SALE. But if anyone is interested, I will put you in touch with the music store and you can negotiate. (The Session is definitely negotiable). AND they ship.
If I have violated any forum policies, please let me know, and I will move these to the appropriate place.
This is for informational purposes only. I have no stake in this whatever. I thought I would pass it on as information for y'all. _________________ "The secret to a long life is to keep breathing." |

Hi Don,
The Bandit 112 is really an 80 watt amp.
The 200w on the tag is the power consumption.

John, I sold high end audio equipment back in the 70s. There are so many ways to advertise "watts" that it would make a head spin, Nonetheless, it matters to me not at all.
If someone is interested in these amps, I will point in the right direction. _________________ "The secret to a long life is to keep breathing." |

"Cheap" is a relative term.
I don't consider the prices on these items posted as cheap.
But a lot depends on where you live and/or if you consider the insane prices out there since Covid.
Disclaimer: The following are pre-Covid stuck in a time warp pre-shortage madness prices.
Bandit: Cheapest I ever saw on CL was $35.
I used to see them all of the time for less than $100.
Studio Pro 40: $25. Pots needed cleaning.
Studio Pro 50: $35. Pots needed cleaning.
IMO, for all intents and purposes, the Bandit and SP40 and SP50 and Special 130 are basically equivalent for 6 string. They all have plenty of power except for the loudest bands at the loudest gigs.
I have said this before: At these pre-Covid prices there is NO EXCUSE for not having one as a back up.
For the price of a set of strings and a guitar cord (BOTH of which you should have anyway) you have a backup amp incase the guitar or keys or even bass players' amp goes down. |

FYI, the Session 400 has a 15" Black Widow. _________________ "The secret to a long life is to keep breathing." |

Don, I'm in VT. I see you are in NH.
Seems like I could drive there and pick up the Session 400?
Pm me with the address if you don't mind. |
