I'm trying to record my lap steel directly into my audio interface. I have Bias FX and Guitar Rig 5, but I'm having trouble getting good tones. If anyone uses these effects applications, could you share your setups? Because of my situation, I'm not able to record using an amp and microphone, which I'm sure is the preferred approach for most of you.
Thanks. I'm playing a Melbert 6 string in C6 and looking for cleanish tones with some reverb. |

I record a lot at night so using an amp won't work for me. I use S-gear for guitar and lap steel and I'm satisfied with the results I'm able to get. I've never used Bias FX or Guitar Rig so I can't help with those. I would look to see if there are presets available online for the programs you use. |

Hey Jim,
Guitar Rig works great, I get the best results using the Tweed Delight amp. |
Thanks, Sebastian! You are one of my biggest inspirations. |
