There’s some buzzing on a couple of strings that I believe is caused by the grooves formed where the strings rest/lie before they pass through the trapezoid pickup. Has anyone had this issue and fixed it? Wondering if I get it gently filled down? Or have the grooves filled in?
I’m pretty certain that it’s not a bobbin problem. I think I’ve fixed that issue.
Thanks! |

It looks like there are a couple different slots in the saddle to choose from on the plain strings, maybe just move the string over and see if it goes away. |

String buzz on a bridge or nut is generally caused by the string sitting on a really worn, flat spot, or a string moving around in a slot that’s too wide. Easy fixes with files and sandpaper, or move the string slightly over if you can to an unused area. |

Hi Joe, if the buzz sounds a little like a sitar check to see whether the string is dipping down after it goes over the peak of the bridge. If so, a new string will cure it. This can also be an issue on some standard guitars, especially Teles with barrel saddles. |

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I ended up putting a .26 wound instead of plain and it sounds great again. At some point I’ll have get some work done, but I’m ok for now. |
