Ron..Check how you have the indicator set, I find the unit will begin to overdrive the signal at settings above the 11:00 to 12:00 O'clock range.

Ron, are you using an active volume pedal, ie, Hilton or Telonics?
These could also overdrive the input of the BB.

Ron, don't feel alone, that's the same problem i had when i tried one out. I use a Hilton pedal, and the BB was so squirrelly with it. I found the BB didn't work well with my setup. Got a distorted thin signal, when the input section of the BB unit was pushed at all.

Sorry to hear a few folks having these issues with the baby bloomers. Ron, send me your pedal and I will refund your money. We have tested these with Hilton pedals and the fantastic Telonics pedals without issue. I use it with an active pedal along with other effects and I play hard and loud. It absolutely cleans up my tone and adds a desirable new character to my sound. It can add up to 3db of gain and so theoretically could cause impedence issues, white noise, gain hum. There are so many variables now days with amps and cords and multiple buffers etc. Trouble shooting sometimes is a bit of an art form. I wish I could come over and see the issues first hand but of course I can't.
