Being's I just retired I decided to treat myself to a new Mullen an S-10, Burgundy Pointe G2. It took a little longer than expected but really worth the wait. I can't get over how easy it is to play, the pedals and knee levers are so easy to engage and I do like the standard single coil pickup.
It was also nice to get a follow up call from Mike Mantey just to make sure I was satisfied with the purchase.
Just Thanks to the whole crew at Mullen!

That's a great looking guitar. I saw that Mullen was offering a S-10 now. I'm glad to see one.

John...beautiful guitar...congratulations!

Quick question...how wide is your S-10...doesn't appear to be a step-down?

You just can't beat a Mullen and all the crew. I've had mine since 2009 (new) and still plays great. I just don't get to play much any more. Covid really hurt the music industry.
Congrats on your new Mullen, you'll love it forever.

The best thing about buying a Mullen G2? Knowing you'll never need to upgrade to something better!

When I bought my G2 back in 2018 I knew it was my forever pedal steel. Congrats on yours and enjoy your retirement Winking

Congrats. I have one just like it, except Birdseye mica. Love it. I played it on 85 gigs from April through October this year, and it stays in tune perfectly and plays so smooth and accurate. And it doesn't break strings. Smile

I generally don't like red steel guitars, but THAT is just absolutely BEAUTIMOUS (a couple of steps up from plain beautiful).

Not to hijack John's thread, but here's my Mullen G2 S-10, single body, purchased earlier this year. The extra wide body in the rear took some getting used to, but I find that it's very handy for setting accessories on (and beer). As I mentioned above, I've played this on 85 gigs so far this season and the guitar has played like a dream. Stays in tune well, very smooth and accurate, and hasn't broken a string yet. Smile

Thanks John! I really like the red mica on yours. I almost went with red, but the Birdseye won out. 😊

Are these just SD-10 bodies without a pad and thus called a S-10? It is difficult to tell how much body there is from the pics but it looks to be quite a bit.

Andy, No these are not SD-10 bodies but they are 8" deep.

Andy,
What's deciving is there is no step down from the neck...so it appears quite wide.
I have a Mullen HW-RP S10 and the width of the guitar is 8".
But...my guitar has the step down that visually makes it look more narrow...also has a 1/2 pad.

Mullen calls them "Single 10, Single Body" ...not SD-10. I haven't seen one with a pad yet, but maybe Mullen would put a small pad on if a customer requested one...?

Here are more pics, previously posted here on the forum.
