Looking for a lap steel stand. I don’t know if they make them for lap steel. I have a tripod guitar stand that I use for the BR9, it works only ok. Looking to get a stand for a Fender Deluxe. Any input would be great thanks. |

I go with a keyboard stand. Either an X, Z or table style is much sturdier, quicker and easier to set up, and more versatile than a tripod or other dedicated lap steel stand. |

I have a vintage Oahu stand that works with most six strings, its kinda spindly but it works, i see them for sale on reverb once in a while. |

|
|
The question is a guitar tripod stand used for storage. Example when the set is over when playing out you put it hanging on this stand. Looking for one that fits lap steels (Fender Deluxe) thanks. |

There are some adjustable stands like this one.........
I do not know how well they work.
Amazon has 8 billion different types.
I have a Duesenberg that is fairly skinny at the tail so I took my On Stage guitar stand,
everyone has at least 50 of these, and put it in a vice and bent the U-shaped cradle to fit that particular guitar.
I do not trust the guitar stands that have no support for the neck. _________________ I have stuff.
I try to make music with it.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes it doesn't.
But I keep on trying. |

Thanks, we’re on the right track, ya the concern would be the guitar falling off to the side. Have to come up with something. Does anyone know the minimum dimensions from leg to leg? Thanks for the Amazon link and for your help. |

Paul, there are 3 width positions for the stand in the link I posted. The minimum distance between the bars that the guitar sits on is 6 1/2" (center to center), next is 9" and the third is 11 1/2" |

I saw a couple on music store website that are tripod and hanging type with no support on the bottom. They just hang from the neck. Don't know if your neck widens out enough so as to not be hanging on the tuners. They were about $40 and looked pretty good. |
