Excellent condition. Collings makes guitars that are incredibly consistent from one to the next, so if you've played a standard D2H, you know what this sounds like: a tight and powerful low end; clear, cutting midrange and sparkling highs, optimally balanced and magnificently projected. It's had an L.R. Baggs undersaddle pickup installed, too.

There are a few small cosmetic imperfections here and there– on top of the headstock, on the side of the upper bout, a few light pick blemishes on the top that you can really only see at certain angles. Comes in Collings/TKL case (no smoke) with a perfectly snug fit. $3,500

Beautiful guitar, looks nearly identical to my ‘94 HD 28 CF Martin.

What a stunning guitar.

While this Collings is essentially a rip-off of Martin's D-28, I've found Collings to be way more consistent than Martin. Something in their quality control? Maybe, but I don't remember playing a bad Collings.

Credit to CFM for the original concept, but Collings have taken it to another level.

I bought my 1967 D28 in 1977 when I was in college and I’d always thought I’d never find a dreadnaught I’d like better until I bought my D2H new in 2010. It’s louder, has better tone and plays easier. I’d never let go of either but the Collings is the better guitar, IMHO!
