Hi lapsteelers,
the beauty of an old sentimental song ... it's hard to resist when december is knocking! Smile
I've always liked the F against the G on the title word in the beginning of the refrain. Pure emotion!
Nice and not too difficult, something to play on lapsteel at the end of another complex year.

My version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4O4i2iYK38

You see some bars below, and if you want the whole song written out in 4 pages, just email me,
and I'll send you a PDF and the backing track, for free as always.
Hope you enjoy this one, all the best,
Bert

This is one of the prettiest songs ever written and is beautifully played by Mr. Bert. In fact, my wife was listening to your version and she commented that it is the best steel guitar video she has ever heard.

Connie Smith and Nat Stuckey recorded a beautiful duet of this song back in the early days.

Sent you an email, thanks.
