Hi lapsteelers, a little project this time! Wink

Mike Beith from the UK had some requests, and then wrote:
One of my all time favourites, but played on pedal steel, is Tom Brumleys 'Neosho Waltz'.
Now that would be a challenge on C6.

Indeed it was, Mike!
A matter of reducing those massive pedalsteel chords to the essential notes on a simple 6-string.
I think with reasonable result, and I hope you agree over there. Very Happy

Tom Brumley starts in the key of E and modulates in the middle to F.
I followed him rather close through the song.
You'll find this "arrangement" goes really high on the fretboard.
So I decided to add another second part in F, but in a lower octave.

I slowed down the original a bit, and made a play-along track.
Which I'll have to play along with for many times to make it really flow!
It's the complete song, followed by a 2 bar countdown, and the second part again in the low lapsteel version.
Finally I turned it to a clip showing the tab lines on the screen.

Now this clip is a "hidden one", because the original music is in it.
But this is the link: https://youtu.be/HLzUhjtOr6I

Tom Brumley's original is here: https://youtu.be/s3N2CASPY00

Probably one for people that dare to study, haha! Very Happy
If you still want the complete PDF or the play-along as mp3,
just email me, and I'll send it for free.
Hope you like this contribution too, let me know, all the best,
Bert

Well done Bert, a great transciption of the piece. You certainly rose to the challenge. Now, I have to learn to play it!

Thanks, Mike

Thanks so much, mrs. Brumley!
Again, it feels a bit like translating the master player to a toy instrument, but a tribute it is ! Smile

I love the way the tab is embedded in your YouTube video. The settings feature allows me to custom the playback speed so it can be slowed down - a lot. It's a great learning tool. Thanks Bert, for all your hard work.
