This is a BOSS BR-532 digital 4-track recorder.
I bought this new ~2003 and am the single owner.
Besides recording, it has a TON of pre-set effects that can be used in a live situation. It is virtually NOISE FREE as opposed to stomps. It has programmable compression, reverb, and other effects.
As an effects box for recording, this is awesome, (Line Outs for a DAW or amp.) There is also a MIDI input.
As a stand alone recorder, it has instrument level input, as well as an XLR/1/4" mic inputs and stereo Line inputs. There is also an external Mic that requires no plug-in. It DOES NOT have Phantom power for condenser mics.
It can record up to 4 tracks simultaneously in a single take.
Installed is a 32GB Smart Card that you can use to download individual tracks to your DAW software. I believe that you can upgrade that card to 64GB, but 32GB is pretty hefty.
It is battery powered (6 AA), OR a 9VDC adapter (outer ring +, center -). Adapter is not included.
I was playing with this tonight since I hadn't fired it up in ages. Everything works as advertised. It's clean, and a lot of fun. (Think Hendrix with a Tele  )
