Hello, any suggestions for a good all around responsive yet pretty sounding pickup for an all aluminum body D-10.
Thanks.

You could talk to builders like Scott Swartz/steeltronics and Telonics, they're very knowledgeable with different lines of steels and what kind of effects/amps/signal chain you're using.

Thanks guys I appreciate the info. I was hoping more guys with aluminum bodies would share what pup's their using.
I understand It's trial and error. I'm currently using GFI
II pup's and would like something with more punch that can handle the low's. There's no placed here in NY to visit that has pedal steel guitars or accessories for them so I'm relying on other folks experiences.
Thanks again everyone, please stay safe.

I used Lawrence 710's in my aluminum neck Franklin D-10.
I acquired a 2000 year model GFI Ultra D-10. It had a George L's E66 on the E9th neck and the stock GFI II on the C6th. I didn't like the E66 so I installed Lawrence 710's on both necks (to keep them the same). Much improved sound.

I used a Quilter Travis Toy 12 amp with the GFI.

I used to have a EMCI aluminum body D 10.
Not a big difference in how PUs respond in aluminum bodys. Aluminum and wielded aluminum are slightly different
Here is Mickey Adams Pickup comparison.
