prefab/cast tuning peg sets for 8 string??

hey y'all
looking to "shunt" my two 8 string guitars together to get me a Dual 8.they are scale wise longer than the vintage Fenders..Almost or THE same as PSG scale length and im loving' em!!
BUT the tuning mechanisms are pre war home made and gotta be replaced. SO...
KLUSON ASHTRAY?? these are the only thing ive been able to find "web wise" ( im in Australia) and ive recently read a post where a fellow steeler purchased these and was unable to fit the Kluson pegs purchased at the same time..
This may have just been user error but if anyone has exp with these I'd love some feedback???Ideally I'd prefer something more like the "staggered" pre fab Aluminium pegs common to PSG guitars..
Can anyone recommend an Online Luthiers Supply or Bespoke manufacturer of 8 string Lap/Console steel guitar components whom will ship to Australia and deal in single units?
