WANTED: Early 1950s Rickenbacker bakelite model BD, 7 strings or 8 strings.

Features of this specific early 1950s model BD are:
--- Strings' ball-ends mount through the body.
--- Bridge is screwed onto the body.
--- Pickup has 1.25" magnets.
--- Pickup is mounted to a chromed bezel surrounding the pickup. The chrome bezel is screwed onto the body. The chromed bezel does NOT extend rearward to form a strings mount tailpiece like model B's did from 1946 until the BD model came to being in the early 1950s.
--- The top (face) of the headstock has a flip-up cover covering the tuners' string shafts.
--- If the headstock cover is missing (and if the neck is original), there will be 2 screw holes that mounted the cover's hinge, and 2 smaller screw holes near the neck nut that mounted the cover's hold-down latch.
--- If the neck is original it will have the taller neck "ribs" (longerons) that are straight from the neck wrist to the body joint ...which began on early 1940 B model bakelites and continued thereafter.
--- A pre-war (pre-1940) replacement neck would be OK too; They are very rare on the early 1950s model BD, but have been seen, due to preference or to replace a broken original neck. The pre-war necks have the shorter longerons that curve to meet the neck heel body joint.

Money is set aside for this specific steel guitar search. Payment can be made in any common, legitimate and safe method a Seller might desire. PM or Email me through the SGF.

Strings mount through body.
Screw-on bridge.
Pickup mounting bezel does not extend rearward as a strings mount tailpiece:

Flip-up headstock cover:

1940 onward: TALL NECK LONGERONS are straight from the neck wrist to the body joint.
This is the type neck that would be original on a Rickenbacker model BD:

Pre 1940: SHORTER NECK LONGERONS curve near & to meet the neck heel body joint.
This type neck is very rarely found on a Rick model BD, although it's been seen, obviously a replacement neck.
This type neck would be OK for the Rick model BD I'm looking to buy:

Would also consider a B7 or B8 1946 or later, with the chromed-metal strings ball-ends receiver tail piece.

Thank You and Very Best Wishes,

Hello Denny! I was in your store, in 1989 and my jaw dropped seeing your guitars. I walked out of there with two 30's frypans and my favorite sounding lap , a prewar Rick B6, all at great prices. I was there the weekend of the HSGA show in '89.
The prices of instruments were VERY reasonable. Jim Danz was my salesman
