I did, very good presentation! Everywhere you looked was a vintage wraparound.
The prototype was amazing! I wish Kelsey and crew nothing but the best!!

I didn’t but I watched the video… I owned couple wraparounds, and they nailed it, guitar has the wraparound tone all the way … I didn’t think they’ll get it, but they did …. good job

The event was an amazing experience! We were able to meet some amazing people, demonstrate the ReSound'65 and witness history with more than 13 1965 wraparounds in one place. We send a huge thank you to Tommy and Sandra Detamore for promoting the event, and Big Star Music Academy for hosting such a great venue and staffing!

I played the guitar they built and yes indeed they nailed it. You can now buy an Emmons wraparound that plays like a Zum. It really does have the sound and feel. The way they are building them means that they will be consistent also. A really crazy thing is that the vintage wrap they used as a model has three rows of tuners in the end plate so that the guitar has tuneable splits.
The Emmons65 wrap sounds easily as good as any wrap I have played or owned and it is built like a swiss watch. The feel of complete connection in the mechanism is uncanny. It IS a push pull without the wonkiness.
Congratulations to the new Emmons company !

I was also there, and I think they have a winner. Beyond how good the guitar sounded, I was VERY impressed after meeting and talking with Darin and Kelcey. Just talking and asking questions, it's OBVIOUS to me these are the kinds of folks I'd do business with, for all the right reasons.
Also, I've seen several threads on this event where the question was asked about the 'look' of the prototype, i.e. will there be the chrome trim strips? Polishing? etc. Darin explained that this particular guitar is a proof of design, mechanical fit, operability, and sound. Polishing, trim etc. will definitely be in keeping with the original when it goes to production. Cosmetics is easy, making the guitar sound and play right isn't.
I'm sure it will look great, and I can personally vouch that it sounds like it's supposed to. I may have a bolt-on for sale.. LOL

FWIW (as a guitar tech since 1971) I'd like to clarify something aout pickups:
Pickup "impedance" (actually "DC resistance", since "impedance" actually changes as frequencies change, while DC resistance is static) isn't all that relevant. It's the inductance that more closely defines the tone and output of a pickup - but BOTH have to be combined with the bobbin design, coil wire size/insulation type, method of winding - and (VERY critically) magnet type(s) and placement.
DC resistance alone means absolutely nothing, and (for example) higher DC resistance dos not necessarily mean higher output - and means zero about the tonal qualities of the pickup.

Yeah, I've got two bolt-ons, a '66 and a '67, but I doubt either is really going anywhere. As much as I'd like to have one of these new ReSound guitars, I just can't really justify it. I was working on a deal a couple of years ago on swapping one of my D10s for a bolt-on S10, trying to get a 'lighter' option for certain gigs. When it got right down to picking one or the other of my D10s to go, I couldn't pull the trigger. LOL.. There are certain things I like about each one.

Ain’t nothing wrong with the sound of a aluminum neck bolt on….just saying…one of the best by products of this endeavor is I suspect is they will offer repair services for push pulls…not many jumping into theâ€artâ€

The problem with a Bolt-on is in the assembly process.
For example, a cut tail or a Wraparound may be rodded and nearly completed if the production line is waiting for polished cast necks to arrive because the changer is mounted independently.
