My band has just been booked to open for the Commander on April 6 at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, PA.

Anyone know if CC travels with a steeler these days? I know that for awhile, Tiny Olsen & John Widgren were doing pickup gigs around the Northeast region with him. Anyone coming to Sellersville?

Hey J'beaux:
I wish I were going to be on that gig in Sellersville but I stopped doing gigs with Cody about a year ago. I took on more responsibility at work as I now oversee the transportation for two school districts. The added stress (along with advancing age) just made it too much to do the travelling with George along with the day gig.

Joe is correct... I don't fish on "hard water." Too spoiled from fishing from my 21' bass-boat with all the cool toys !! When I retire in a couple years I hope to do more music again... and move to a location where the water doesn't freeze (MORE BASS FISHING)!!

Jim, I think I'll call Mark Emerick, George's guitar man and tell him you'll be opening. They may enjoy having you sit-in as they're not using pedal steel since I departed. It's mostly a cost effective thing for them anymore. Let me know if you'd like to play. I know you'd do 'em proud man !!!

Ben, it would be great to see you again also. It's been decades too long.

Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" O.

I did sound for CC one year at a town fair in Copake N.Y. Before the gig started I started talking to "Tiny" because I was interested in the PSG. He flipped his over and took the time to show me how everything worked. Somehow the topic of trains came up. He was into trains and so was I. We spent about twenty minutes probably talking trains and PSGs. Couldn't find a more down to earth guy and a day I will never forget.

The Commander just recently passed away at age 77. It’s in the “Gone Home” section.
