Yes Dustin ABC PEDALS plus Franklin pedal ::: here's the copedent that was on my Rittenberry of a previous owner. Surely there's a better copedent an a better use of the Fifth pedal.

Looks like somebody wanted a C6 neck real bad!
I put a 1/2 lower on 5 and 10 on the fifth pedal of a Williams I ordered recently. Hasn’t been delivered yet, so I can’t report on it one way or another. I just wanted to try it. The pedal order is B-lower/A/B/C/Franklin, left to right. |

I'd think lowering Bs a half would be a good thing to do somewhere, and on a pedal would be interesting as Fred outlined.
I don't have a D string on E9. It's on a lever and my 9 & 10 are B & G#.
But if I did play straight E9 and had a fifth pedal, I might drop 10 to G# and 9 to B#(C) to make a big Gdom#9 with Es lowered. |

Maybe just an easy minor chord by dropping the G#'s to GðŸ˜

This is what I currently have on my 5th pedal. It gives some extra voicing/voiceleading options for minor and diminished chords, for example. Though it might be redundant for players who have a G#->F# lower on a knee lever or where the same thing can be accomplished on an F#->G# knee lever on the F#s (especially if they have a half-stop). |

| I would lower 5 & 10 a 1/2 and put it on the zero pedal to split with the A pedal. I plan to do that very soon on my guitar. |

| Someone earlier said6 changes on 1 pedal would be a very heavy pull. I think you could do 2 raises and 2 lowers and not have too much pull pressure. Also I like the suggestion of E to F# and E to D |

Sorry K maul, im on the road and dont have time. But take key of G , i can think of movements in no pedal third fret, G major7 pedals down 5th fret; G7/9 6th fret; G6th 8th fret and G major 10th fret pedals down.
So pretty much the main thing is if you can hear movement out of any pedal or lever, add it and then add to your repertoire of something that sounds nice, that's moving. That's the art of a pedal steel, is to have notes moving at the same time. I had that change actually on my Fulawka on extra lkl lever, but all ypu have to do it take foot off volume pedal and reach over for 5th pedal.

Raise 5-(B to C#) and 6-(G# to A#), use with E Lower KL then to D. Extended chords and licks…
