Stunning beautiful new 6 string lapsteel guitar from Caladesi Guitars. Cherry and Maple wood with solid nickel plated brass nut and bridge. The 6 string lapsteel uses the Seymore Duncan’s Antiquity LapSteel pickup. This is a flat pole, single coil pickup that is very similar in certain respects to a Tele lead pickup. Each bobbin is fabricated and specially hand-wound using vintage techniques. The bobbins are wrapped in waxed string for added coil protection, and the hookup wire is the classic cloth push-back wire. Amazing sound. The fretboard is real walnut with MOP dots.  The body of the guitar is cherry wood sandwiched around maple giving the guitar a wider sound pallet.  The tuners are Sperzel locking tuners. Price $850 plus shipping (case $50).

Hello! Scale length? How is the nut cut, and what tuning is it currently holding? Thanks.

All good questions that I probably should have included in the description. The scale length is 22.5 inches (although I can make you one 23.5 or 24.5). The nut and bridge are nickel plated solid brass and are through bolted into the guitar. The string spacing is 3/8 or .375 inch at the bridge and 11/32 or .344 at the nut. That is the standard string spacing for all my guitars although I can make you a custom string space guitar. Hope this helps. Dan

The current tuning on the guitar is C6 but I will put any tuning you want on it.

The nut and bridge was cut on my Bridgeport milling machine.
