Hey all. Wouldn’t mind having a period correct Sho Bud signal coil around for my ‘73 Round Front Single Pro. If anyone’s hanging onto a good one, let me know.

Thanks!
Ben

Hi Ben,

I recently acquired a pair of True Tone pick ups not realizing they were narrow mount (needed wide). I could sell you one for $50. These are what I have in my Super Pro and love 'em. I have never used these, so I can't vouch for whether they are working. If it turns out to be dead or non functional, I will happily refund you.

Dan

Thanks Dan, but I’m only interested in a period correct original at this time. Hope the True Tone’s find a good home!

I don't have a good one. How about a bad one? I'll give you this. It meters "open" and has a few stray wires trying to escape. You could have it rewound, or if you have the patience, maybe you can de-wind it back to a point where you can find continuity.

Not to derail the thread but how do these true tones compare in sound to the original Shobuds

John, these (which sold on the Forum yesterday) were a little hotter (@20kohm). I had a new one made for a 6139 a while back, would to somewhere around 18, and it sounded identical to the original (to my ears, anyway).
