Larry,
The Grover model 210C is the one that Emmons Guitar used on their later LeGrande guitars. Currently, they seem to be in very short supply though.

They are mounted in the same way as the Schaller or Sperzel tuners (with a male threaded hex bushing through the key head and into the female threads of the tuner housing). There is no small screw like the larger Grovers have. They all use a locating pin that goes into a small hole in the key head to keep the tuner from rotating. The 210C has a pin that is cast into the rear of the body as opposed to a roll or spring pin as in the Sperzels. _________________ Best regards,

I replaced the Grover keys in a 1974 MSA that became a bigger job than planned. Some of Grover's keys are now Metric sized for world trade market. The old keys used 3/8" hole the new ones was 10MM. I had to drill the holes larger to fit the new keys.
The set shown in Mr. Stafford's post have pins on the back instead of the little screw in the face that keeps them from turning.
Check the keys very close, Make sure they match.
Good Luck in this project and Happy Steelin. |
