A friend who works for Guitar Center in Rockford, IL sent me this photo.
I'd like to know more about this steel. Looks awfully short scaled to me. But in good condition.

Old Fender Champion, notorious for being robbed of original parts for Telecasters. If you can verify its original then its a nice, valuable old steel, even if its parts are swiped it can be made into a great guitar ( though much less valuable). Knobs, pots and pickup are the things to suspect.
Its basically a black guard Esquire lap steel. |
