You sure can't hurt anything by trying it there.
I wound up having to put mine between the volume pedal and ProFex.
When I tried it last in the chain, it amplified the noise from the ProFex too much. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. Can't get much sweeter. |

The recommended placement is for the Bloomer to be the last thing in the chain b4 the preamp. |

Jim, So I guess putting it in front of the ProFex is correct?
Works for me. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. I guess I’d try that and also try between the Profex and the amp and see which you prefer. |

I tried it between the ProFex and my MiniMax amp and the whole system was too noisy.
So before the ProFex it is.
Great product by the way. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. Don't put it before an active pedal unless you're trying to emulate the opening bit for the Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction". If you're looking for a nasty Superfuzz effect, do just that. _________________ Excel Superb D10, Sarno Black Box or Freeloader, Goodrich L120, Boss DD5, Baby Bloomer, 1965 Super Reverb chopped to a head, feeding a mystery PA cab w/ a K130.
They say "thats how it goes". I say "that ain't the way it stays!" |

I tried mine in the pre-EQ effects loop in a couple of Peavey amps, and that quieted the hiss considerably, while still producing the desired effect the unit was intended for. |
