Kind of a rush job, but I wanted to do something ASAP to honor the great Tom T. Hall. Country music has lost one of it's best songwriters and entertainers. So many great songs by this man. Tom T. could sit on a stool with just a guitar and have the audience hanging on to every word that came out of his mouth. Funny songs followed by one that would make you tear up.
This is one of my favorites. While recording this, it really made me miss my dad. So much reading between the lines.

Tom T..., a prolific and talented songwriter, performer and storyteller, both in and between his songs, lives on....
Enjoyed your tribute, Rick, and love your voice.
Thanks for that,

Great song, song writer and video. I don't think Tom T. ever recorded a bad song.
One favorite song is "Who's Gonna' Feed Them Hogs?". I was raised in the country and feed animals everyday. It's a shame that for most people the song doesn't even rate an honorable mention.
Another favorite is "It Sure Can Get Cold In Des Moines". The Des Moines Register newspaper calls it

perhaps the greatest song ever written about the capital city |
Been there, felt that cold.
That's what was so great about any Tom T. Hall song, everyone can relate to them.
Rick, thanks for the song and the video. _________________ Remembering Harold Fogle (1945-1999) Pedal Steel Player
