You can ask Scott Swartz, he knows those pickups well, rebuilt/rewound a single coil for me (besides the Ztronics pickups I bought from him, steeltronics.com

If it has gone open internally, I'd say not. Measure across the two wires. It should read in the vicinity of 13 - 20 Kohms.
If the wiring is in tack maybe pieces could be fitted but hardly worth it.

The chill is broken, even the top of the pickup is broken off. I was wondering if any of these gurus can resurrect it.
